Show Linked Documents Pane
Use this ribbon command if you want the add-in pane to be visible in Excel. This opens the task pane and takes you to the Linked Documents workspace, where file management, search results, the PDF viewer, groups and other tools are all available from one place.
How It Works
- Open Excel and choose the Linked Documents ribbon tab.
- Press the Show Linked Documents Pane button.
- Wait for the task pane to appear on the side of the workbook.
- Use the pane as your home base for files, manuals, search, groups, and the PDF viewer.
What To Keep In Mind
- The task pane is the entry point for every interactive workflow in the add-in.
- If another command sends you into a feature view, the pane stays the shared workspace behind that action.
- You can close the pane at any time by clicking the Close button in the top-right corner, and reopen it by pressing either the Show Linked Documents Pane button or any other command that invokes the side pane.
