Delete Reference

Reference cleanup starts from the annotation record. Removing a linked annotation deletes that stored reference from the PDF side, and you can then clean up or replace the worksheet output that used the named link.

How It Works​

  1. Locate the linked annotation in the viewer by selecting the referenced cell or browsing the document.
  2. Delete the annotation from the viewer when the reference is no longer needed.
  3. Review the related worksheet cells and update or clear any spreadsheet values that depended on the deleted link.

What To Keep In Mind​

  • The current implementation removes the annotation record that carries the reference identity.
  • If the workbook still contains extracted values, keep or replace them intentionally after deleting the source reference.
