Navigate to Reference

Navigation works both ways. Selecting a referenced cell in Excel can open the linked annotation in the PDF viewer, and selecting a referenced annotation in the viewer can reselect the worksheet named range that points back to it.

How It Works​

  1. Click a worksheet cell that belongs to a Linked Documents named range.
  2. Let the add-in detect the selection change and switch the workspace to the viewer.
  3. Use the highlighted annotation to confirm the exact source region in the PDF.

What To Keep In Mind​

  • The add-in listens for worksheet selection changes and sheet changes so references stay responsive.
  • Selecting the annotation from the PDF side can also reselect the matching named range in Excel.
